"Highly Customizeable with a Great Support Team"

March 23, 2023

❌ What’s Not Great

“Due to how customizable the software can be, a lot of discussion and testing was needed before the platform was ready to be used in any meaningful way. If you are looking for a turnkey solution, this is not necessarily the best platform.”

✅ Positive Notes

“The best part of working with Uncountable is the engagement from their team with our users. They are very involved in ensuring the platform has the functions we need to meet our current expectations and have room to grow our research into new areas. Across multiple chat platforms and hundreds of messages, our Uncountable team has been with us every step of the way.”

"A useful tool for obtaining value from experimentak information"

March 15, 2023

❌ What’s Not Great

“No significant issues can be raised, though as an area of improvement platform version management could include warnings in advance of changes, interventions, and easy roll-back to previous versions.”

✅ Positive Notes

“Powerful data ingestion tools.

Excellent data visualization tools.

Multiple approaches for smart experimentation: ML-based methods, smart factorial approach.

The flexibility of the Uncountable Team to hear and process requests from us, their client, and implementing it quick and efficiently.”

"Great Platform with Excellent Technical Support"

March 15, 2023

❌ What’s Not Great

“Minor hiccups can occur when updates are made. Sometimes updates affect existing features. Issues usually get resolved within 24 hrs. Processing time can be slowed down when trying to compile very large amounts of data.”

✅ Positive Notes

“Extremely customizable, powerful filters and searches, fit for purpose, easily accessible. The platform is structured, but flexible which is great for people who are used to pen-to-paper data capture to transition over.”

"Lab Informatics in the Cloud"

March 7, 2023

❌ What’s Not Great

“Rapid growth and custom features bring along growing pains

Cloud-based systems are slower than locally based systems for poor internet connections

Many functions mean many menus – UX/UI could be streamlined

Though unit conversion mechanisms exist, they are user-defined and not automatic”

✅ Positive Notes

“Rapid growth

Addition of custom features

Cloud-based login

Available support

Formulation management

Data analysis and AI deep learning

User account access and permissions control”

"Best ELN I've ever seen!"

March 6, 2023

❌ What’s Not Great

“The lag when working on very large experiments is probably the only drawback I can think of, but the Uncountable team has helped us come up with ways to reduce this lag dramatically.”

✅ Positive Notes

“It’s very customizable to what we need and the response from the Uncountable team has been amazing. Every question is answered in a super quick fashion and there hasn’t been a request yet that they couldn’t deliver for us.”

Editor Review

Uncountable offers robust data centralization and customization, making it a valuable tool for R&D labs that need to organize diverse datasets and build predictive models. The system’s strength lies in its flexibility, from interlinking experiment data to accommodating additional customers and test methods without heavy reliance on the technical team. However, these capabilities come at a price. Many users highlighted a steep learning curve due to a non-intuitive UI and less-than-ideal visualization tools when compared to standard software like Excel. The initial setup and configuration can be time-consuming, with some labs experiencing a 3-6 month implementation phase. While the platform’s integration capabilities are bolstered by features such as SAP linkage and helpful API integrations, enhancements in workflow management and project planning remain areas for improvement. Overall, Uncountable caters well to labs that are willing to invest time in customization and ongoing configuration, but it may pose challenges for organizations seeking a more turnkey solution.
