Pros and Cons Values
Aggregated Rating
"Dispersion Scientist"
❌ What’s Not Great
“Column format. Hard to compare outputs.”
✅ Positive Notes
“Easy to use. Not too complicated to figure out.”
"Powerful software, built by engineers"
❌ What’s Not Great
“Lots of time spent in implementation. UI not very intuitive (have frequently have issues with onboarding people in them trying to find key buttons), and not very editable (e.g. with button size).”
✅ Positive Notes
“Really useful as a massive database, and for bringing data all together for easier analysis. Really nice to have whole company with standardised way to show data, without just having a giant spreadsheet that breaks every time you open it.”
"A powerful tool that gets better the more you learn it"
❌ What’s Not Great
“The capabilities are quite advanced and this can be a downside in terms of a learning curve. In other words, it can be a challenge to utilize it fully if you are not spending time in there.”
✅ Positive Notes
“It keeps all of our data organized and it is not getting lost anymore. It is accessible to others in the organization.”
"Uncountable as a growing platform for R&D scale-up usage"
❌ What’s Not Great
“The downside is that the platform is still relatively new. Visually, it could be cleaned up to look more visually appealing and professional.”
✅ Positive Notes
“In terms of using the Uncountable, it is nice that everything can be interconnected. You can link all information for experiments, products, and ingredients without having to worry about different databases, it’s all located in one system and easily accessible.”
"A lot of possibilities!"
❌ What’s Not Great
“It is the bad side of the advantage! The platform being “naked” when starting, the time and energy needed to deploy the platform is huge. It takes between 3 to 6 months to be well set up, and to make sure that users can freely navigate into it without having too many issues.”
✅ Positive Notes
“Uncountable Web Platform comes naked. I mean there is the basic platform, and the administrators and users can modify and adapt it as their business is managed. As an example, for us, we have 3 different “versions” of the same platform to fit 3 different “Business Units”. Everything was put in place from scratch. A huge journey, not completely done yet!
We now have more that 100 users in the platform and most of them are using each day.”

Editor Review
Uncountable offers robust data centralization and customization, making it a valuable tool for R&D labs that need to organize diverse datasets and build predictive models. The system’s strength lies in its flexibility, from interlinking experiment data to accommodating additional customers and test methods without heavy reliance on the technical team. However, these capabilities come at a price. Many users highlighted a steep learning curve due to a non-intuitive UI and less-than-ideal visualization tools when compared to standard software like Excel. The initial setup and configuration can be time-consuming, with some labs experiencing a 3-6 month implementation phase. While the platform’s integration capabilities are bolstered by features such as SAP linkage and helpful API integrations, enhancements in workflow management and project planning remain areas for improvement. Overall, Uncountable caters well to labs that are willing to invest time in customization and ongoing configuration, but it may pose challenges for organizations seeking a more turnkey solution.
