Pros and Cons Values
"Scispot - User Friendly Lab Management Software"
❌ What’s Not Great
“Honestly, nothing really stands out!!!!!”
✅ Positive Notes
“Scispot really makes things easier for us in the lab. It connects all our instruments and apps, automates the work we usually do by hand, and handles big chunks of data without any issues. We can track experiments and keep all our data in one place, which saves time. The fact that we can adjust the workflows to fit what we need, plus the helpful AI analytics, has made a big difference in how we get things done.”
"SciSpot User Experience"
❌ What’s Not Great
“Learning curve to effectively use the platform as well as small latency errors.”
✅ Positive Notes
“I like the number of features SciSpot has. Being able to track inventory, data, as well as design experiments through templates is very helpful.”
"Modern Software for In Vivo Animal Research"
❌ What’s Not Great
“Offhand there is nothing that I dislike about Scispot software.”
✅ Positive Notes
“Scispot helped my team centralize all our animal research data from live animal data (including randomzation, clinical observations, feed intake, etc.), clinical chemistry, clinical pathology, histology, anatomic pathology and all associated metadata into one single platform. We also used Scispot to semi automate some of our study reports in complance with regulatory guidelines.
My team liked Scispot’s software ease of use and the Scispot team was also available to provide answers to any questions my team had. The transition to use of Scispot software took merely a couple of days and it is now integrated with our internal apps and instrumentation.”
"Best LIMS for complex workflows"
❌ What’s Not Great
“Nothing negative per se. I would probably want more connectors for Scispot GLUE as my lab grows with more instruments. The team is collaborative to make that happen”
✅ Positive Notes
“SUPPORT! The team is so so supportive. Scispot team has resident scientists and computational biologist who helps us write custom scripts, configure custom schema for databases, and give suggestions on workflow automation and data strategy. We have had a legacy LIMS before Scispot where it used to take anywhere between 48 hours to weeks to get a reply, however Scispot replies almost near time on Slack. I love how invested the team is to listen to customer feedback, questions, and suggestions. I really like how seemlessly I can integrate all my applications, instruments, and databases with Scispot GLUE.”
"Scispot has been able to organize our laboratory data record"
❌ What’s Not Great
“I have been glad with their services so far. No dislike yet.”
✅ Positive Notes
“From scratch, the team at Scispot has been able to help us develop a data recording system that is helping the laboratory to run experiments. store SOP and manage inventory. The team of engineers are very responsive and patient. It has been educative and insigtful so far.”

Editor Review
Scispot emerges as a robust and adaptable LIMS solution tailored for modern labs. Many users praise its plug‐and‐play nature, seamless integration with lab instruments and internal apps, and the flexibility to customize workflows with minimal fuss. The system’s built-in automation and centralized data management enhance operational efficiency and scientific productivity, with standout features like built‐in AI analytics and an embedded Jupyter hub that facilitate advanced data processing. On the support front, Scispot excels with near real-time responsiveness via Slack, and a team that is proactive in addressing feedback and resolving minor latency or engineering glitches. However, a few users note a steep learning curve in fully leveraging the platform’s capabilities and highlight occasional latency issues and a desire for additional out-of-the-box scientific analytics options. Overall, while the platform offers exceptional integration, customization, and support, prospective adopters should be prepared for a brief ramp-up period to harness its full potential.
